ArtPrize is a revolutionary new art show where artists from any skill level can compete for the largest grand prize for art in the world. Works are displayed in any downtown location that chooses to participate, and all visitors are qualified to vote for who wins the big prize.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

Home to Michigan’s largest tropical conservatory, you will be astounded by the beautiful flora, fauna and sculptures that Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park has to offer. A must see on your visit is the 24 foot bronze sculpture, “The American Horse”, which is based on a sculpture by Leonardo da Vinci that was destroyed before it was cast.

 

 

Grand Rapids Public Museum

The Grand Rapids Public Museum has a variety of different exhibits relating to the Grand Rapids area. These exhibits include the natural environments of Michigan, a ¾ scale replica of Grand Rapids in 1890, and the stories of local Native American Tribes.

 

 

Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum

The museum houses an array of permanent and temporary exhibits that showcase the lives of President and Mrs. Ford, as well as other Presidents. Temporary exhibits showcase a large variety of the rich holdings of the national Presidential libraries system, National Archives, Smithsonian Institution, and a variety of other organizations. 

 

 

Grand Rapids Art Museum

The new downtown location of the Grand Rapids Museum of Art has received national reviews complimenting its “green” design and the quality of its architecture. The museum holds over 5,000 works of art and has more than 3,000 members.

 

 

John Ball Zoo

John Ball Zoo houses over 1,100 animals from all around the world, including one of the largest chimpanzee exhibits in the country. This zoo also offers a variety of activates like zip lines and a high-ropes course.
